Good info there. I don't think i still have your number, can you shoot me a text? Might be fun to hook up on Tuesday and go shoot.

Also, my P220 has the old 7-round mags, not the 8. So 3 is only 21 for me. 22 with one in the pipe.
well... range time and safety should be a personal undertaking. I hope everyone with a firearm tool(cause yes it is a tool not a weapon, hell a screwdriver is a weapon in the hands of just about anyone) understands and lives by basic safety...

The huge plus of the ccw class is the LEGAL aspect of use of deadly force. I estimate a rise in 'aggravated' crimes due to presence and presentation of more weapons during the escalation stages of crimes since every Tom, Jose, and Ting think they are badass carrying gun just cause they don't need a ccw

How many mags you got?

Peace

This is some good info and also something I would be interested in watching sometime. The video looks awesome. One of my excuses - (I dont want to look like a total noob) lol... I have shot a few times and am planning on picking up a 40 cal hand gun in about a month or so, mainly for target shooting and to get more practice, accuracy and experiance in general.

May I suggest a 9mm? The wounding profile/ effectivness is very comparable and it is ALOT easier to control(I have both and you are welcome to buy both 9mm and .40 and shoot them to compare your personal accuracy since thats what's important, not what magazines, etc say) and capacity is higher... capacity is important for hit ratio, most cop shootouts only have an 11% hit ratio... if you have a 12rd .40 capacity you might get ONE hit on someone...
9mm is cheaper to buy and shoot so you'll get more practice also hugely important...
It can be 'more' accurate than .40 as well as it is a flatter(ie. trajectory) shooting cartridge

Peace

That's one of the things I don't like about my .45 - ammunition is expensive. Plus, the reduced magazine capacity as well as the large amount of recoil compared to a 9mm.

The flip side of the coin is someone all hopped up on god knows what could prolly shrug a 9mm round. With a .45 you can't ignore the laws of physics... you *will* stop. You may start coming again... but hey, that's what the other 6 rounds are for. :

I have shot both 9mm and 40 cal. I honestly like shooting the 40 cal a little better. It just seemed more solid and nicer to shoot imo (I doubt I hit shit) lol but my shot isnt great at all with either of them since I haven't had much practice. Plus I figure if I can learn to be a accurate with the 40, being accurate with a 9mm shouldn't be a problem? And since this is my first gun I want something well rounded so I figured I would find a happy medium between a 9mm and something of a bigger caliber.
