Dan keeps telling me I'm fast, but too agressive to move to 3/4. Im like " but I love showing the m3s/911s that past me on the staight, that Im gonna be glued to their bumper through the infield."

Iv got alot of car stuff to figure out (tires, brakes, etc) before I can make it out again. Might have to wait till next season to really get back at it.

I'll make post here and there letting everyone know the progress of the car.
I already ordered a Quaife LSD through Anglo American Road Racing. They have been helping me out alot. I'll probably be setting up a website in the future with more information regarding the car and such for people to look at.

I spoke to dan and he said you have potential.
What he meant by being to aggressive is that when you get to aggressive you start getting cocky, when you get cocky mistakes tend to happen. I went through the same thing. Dont try and move up through the groups to fast, take your time and learn new things each day. I was in hpde 2 for a loooong time having fun but got kicked to hpde 3 for being to fast for hpde 2.
Thats what they told me..lol..
I guess when I started lapping some drivers a few times they figured it was time for a move up. I was a little cocky at that point. On my first day in hpde 3 which allowed more passing zones they decided to combine hpde 3 and hpde 4 with hpde 4 rules (passing anywhere with caution) I got owned in every corner. I went from being the big fish in the little pond to being the same fish in the ocean...

After that day I became humble again. haha..
Just take your time and have fun with it. I'll be taking the summer off to get my car situated for winter. I might be running in August for the Comp. School with NASA so you are all welcome to come out and have fun.

Hahaha, I know I get amped about lapping faster than much higher powered cars, but I dont intend to come off cocky, thats really not my style and I appologize if I come off that way. I know that its all about the driver, a lotus elise can only go as fast as the driver will make it go.

I wont lie, I have confidence in both my car and my driving ability and really want to take it to the nexy level. just love being an underdog and coming out ontop. I cant wait to get up into 3 and put me in my place. Theres just too many slow drivers in 2. But like you said mando, it takes time, simply time. Im really competitive and I know the best way to get better is to run with the "big boys"... and both my car and my skill

On the other hand, with the LSD, I really need one myself. Dont have the cash for it right now, as my tranny was just chunked, but a new clutch will be going in eventually too. When that happens, I plan on doing the LSD. Let me know when you do, Id really like to see how involved it is.

Im really excited about the next season, just scored an awesome aerospace engineering job, so Ill be saving up all summer so I can come out swinging come beginning of next season.

As for the cocky comment we all go through that phase.
It takes a good ass kicking to put you back in your place. Hell I got owned by a miata in my first day in hpde 3...damn good driver with half my hp..lol.
That made me calm down and try different things.
Being competitive is one thing, but we have to remember that we are not racing just driving on track. Hpde 1-4 is track driving. TT (time trials) is a competitive part of racing which is offered only in hpde 4, TA (time attack) is competitive driving for time. So what we should be doing is learning new lines on track, new braking zones so that should we want to compete in Race group we have a good understanding of the track.

Oh well, maybe I'll come down a group to play with you guys from time to time.
It's always fun to play with similar cars with even hp and such.

Im just so anxious to run TA, run on the edge, then I wont have to apologize for my aggressiveness.

We've always talked about ride alongs, we're like the fuckin Hilton, we're always "booked" like a week in advance. Id love to run together, collaborate on lines and techniques.

Next year is going to be a blast.
