Ok so I've been hearing a lot about the sts turbo setup and was wondering if anyone knows a shop can do it and for how much. Because I heard they spool a lot faster than the normal setup

I already have a turbo setup on my car but I like the sts cuz it spools up faster and I think it looks pretty sick

^ I'm guessing its not FR or PB. If its a greddy kit you should have spool @ like 2000rpms.

Ya the one I have on it is good it gets full boost at 5000

Then your tune is terrible

I have a much larger turbo than you and i have full boost @ 3200rpms on a peakboost kit

What the fuck is the point of owning a truck if you cant drive in a little water? It does not take much to ingest water, let alone having a TURBO sucking it in...

I think its more of an issue with getting it to fit.... People have enough trouble getting over speed bumps... now you want to stuff a 2 grand turbo under the car to get torn off....LOL. Dont get me wrong I think its a cool ideal to have the turbo hidden and all, and its got its advantages being placed where its at, I just dont think it would work well with our platform.

I agree about the S-10 having a rear mounted turbo, but there would be no way you'd find me in my srt, or even the bee for that matter driving though a huge puddle if I had that installed. I know they make a water resistant protector, but that isn't foolproof.

I have done a lot of research about STS (due to the fact they make a kit for both of my current cars), and I know thier product and power has been proven to be very reliable. And besides spool times air charge density is higher from the cooler temps ariving in the engine and the parts have shown better wear because they are subjected to lower temps on a regualr basis.


But from reading FRANKIE your tune or even an equipment issue seems to be more of your problem. But do what makes you happy and your ride the way you want it.
